I liked Phoenix suns since 2008 2009 season and when I began watching the nba
I like one team only the suns but I only liked the lakers for a week during 2008 2009 offseason and I realised that I was wrong and disloyal and returned to my phoenix suns and made my decision to be a suns fan forever and I am still.BTW I am foreign and I could like any team since it was my first year as an nba fan and I was learning about teams but I choosed to be loyal to the suns.

Does it make sense to question that Duncan is the best power forward in NBA history?

2 of the top 3 power forwards in the history of the game in Charles Barkley and Malone did not win rings even though Malone played with Stockton who was a top 3 point guard of all time and even though Barkley played with great teams in Phoenix and Houston at the end of his career.

While Garnett may be the most versatile. He cannot be considered better than Duncan. Even with his cast in Boston he has one rings and when he won that ring he was not the Finals MVP. Duncan won 3 Finals MVP in the 4 NBA rings that he won.

I go back to school in 12 days =( I've had summerschool (art) for 8wks so Im not to thrilled about that because of all the annoying freshman that laughed at everything in my class. So because of that I only have 2wks of free summer and I'm trying to cram all my fun in those 2wks. I have orientation this coming Friday and gonna be a junior this year

I'm also trying to see The Expendables but its rated R :( Hopefully though I can get tickets somehow and enjoy the greatest movie ever made!

I also can't wait for the NFL season to begin! The GreenBay Packers are Superbowl faves this year so Im happy about that lol. Anything other than a Superbowl title this yr will be a disappointment. MLB season is kicking up but I think the NY Yankees are gonna pull thru and win a 2nd straight World Series title XD Phoenix Suns lost Stoudemire a few months ago but I still believe they are NBA champs. I hate LeBron James and the Miami Heat (besides Wade) and the Lakers, too

I am American, I have been working with many Muslims at work for a long time and none of them are American hating terrorist supporters.

I know a lot about different religions. I have a degree in comparitive religion and when I was in that class, I learned that Muslims even believe Jesus. He is one of their prophets. According to the Quran, Jesus was born miraculously by the will of God without a father. His mother is regarded as a chaste and virtuous woman and is a highly respected figure in Islam. The Qur'an states that Jesus was the result of a virgin birth. If God says it will happen, it will. For Muslims Mary is a symbol of submission to God and piety.

Quran [3:47] "She said, "My Lord, how can I have a son, when no man has touched me?" He said, "GOD thus creates whatever He wills. To have anything done, He simply says to it, `Be,' and it is."

I learned that Islam is not a terrorist religion like some uneducated people think.


Muslims make up 1/4 of the world's entire population. You cannot blame every Muslim in the world for the acts of a few bad ones.

Looks like Phoenix/Portland rivalry is getting bigger. I know these teams were rivals in the 90's. They have met up in the playoffs and they will play against each other on opening night. I wouldn't be surprise if these 2 teams met up in the playoffs next year.

Kobe fans: If you can come up with this much evidence.....forget it...you can't because LBJ is better.

FIRST OF ALL, lets look at their playoff STATS. LeBron averaged 29.1 points in the playoffs. Kobe averaged 29.2 points. Wow. Big difference. LeBron James averaged 9.3 REBOUNDS PER GAME. Kobe only averaged 6 rebounds per game. LBJ averaged 8... ASSISTS per game. This guy is an amazing passer and team leader. He MAKES his teammates better. LeBron can set up plays like a point guard. Even if he doesn't get the assist, he contributes to the play by setting up the shot. Kobe only gets 5 assists a game, and he doesn't set the plays. In fact, let's say Kobe has to either take a very tough shot that he knows he won't make or pass it to the open Pau Gasol. He would take the shot and miss it 80% of the time. LeBron James has surpasses Kobe in the defensive end of the floor. He is a better on-ball defender, and shot blocker. LBJ gets 1.7 steals per game, while Kobe gets only 1.4. That's actually a pretty big difference when it comes to steals. LBJ is also an amazing shot blocker. LBJ gets 1.8 blocks per game, while kobe only gets 0.7. Finally, one of the most important categories to compare is field goal percentage and 3 point percentage. This is an analysis of how many shots you take and how many you make. LBJ's field goal percentage is 0.502 and his 3 point percentage is 0.400. That is very efficient. Kobe has HORRIBLE percentages. His field goal percentage is 0.458 and his 3 point percentage is 0.374. That is horrible. That means that Kobe jacks up a LOT of shots per game, but he only makes a little.
These are PLAYOFF performances. For those who say that LBJ chokes in the playoffs, well he doesn't. LeBron plays AMAZING in the playoffs. He plays way better than Kobe. The only reason the Cavs got eliminated was because LeBron's teammates chocked. Antwan Jamison, who was supposed to play great, only got 5 points. LeBron got 27 points, 10 assists and 19 rebounds in Game 6 vs the Celtics. Those are AMAZING stats, and that was a great performance by LeBron. But the Cavs lost even though LeBron played well because his teammates didn't show up. On the other hand, Kobe has amazing teammates. Kobe played HORRIBLE in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. He shot 24 SHOTS but he only made 6 of them. That is sad. And yet, the Lakers won because Pau Gasol, Ron Artest, and Derek Fisher really played well. Basketball is a team sport, not an individual sport. That is why LeBron doesn't have a championship ring. LeBron had horrible teammates who do well in the regular season, but they choke in the playoffs. LeBron played AMAZING, but his teammates FAILED and the Cavaliers lost. Kobe played HORRIBLE, but his teammates SUCCEEDED and the Lakers won.
For the people who say that Kobe is more clutch and better at last second shots, actually LeBron is better at last second shots. The only reason the Cavs didn't need last second shots was because LeBron took care of business early in the game. Instead of jacking up a last second shot to win by 1 point, the Cavs always won by 8 or 10 points. LeBron has a higher percentage of making second shots. Some people like to say LeBron quit in the playoffs. HE DID NOT QUIT. He had a triple-double in Game 6. That is an amazing feat. ONce again, the Cavs only lost because LeBron's teammates played horrible. Kobe quit in the playoffs in 2006 vs the Phoenix Suns. Look it up. Kobe is the one who quit.

Cleveland is a garbage city. No one wants to play for Cleveland. LeBron James tried really hard to convince Chris Bosh to come play with him in Cleveland, but Bosh said no. In the 1980s, Kareem Abdul Jabbar went to the Lakers to play with Magic Johnson. Scottie Pippen went to Chicago in the draft to play with Michael Jordan. Jordan and Johnson were in great positions because other great players came to play with them. BUt, LeBron's situation is different. Cleveland is a crappy town, and people didn't want to come to Cleveland. So, LeBron was forced to leave. If he stayed in Cleveland, his crappy teammates would've failed again, and he would never win a championship. So, LeBron went to Miami to play with Wade and Bosh. There's nothing wrong with having lots of help on your team. Magic Johnson is considered the 2nd best player of all time, and he had LOTS of help. He had the amazing Kareem Abdul Jabbar, and lets not forget, he had all-star James Worthy. LeBron will average a TRIPLE-DOUBLE in Miami. You know how hard that is. Kobe NEVER got a triple double. A triple double is when you get double digit assists, double digit points, and double digit rebounds. LeBron will be the PLAYMAKER in Miami. His assists will be very high. His points will remain very high, and his rebounding will go WAY up. LeBron will still have monster stats in MIAMI. LeBron will still be the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER.

ok...this might be a long paragraph so please bear with me...

Well when i started playing basketball (YMCA) i was very good, better then everyone else, averaging 10-15 ppg. i did it liek that for about a year, until we had some financial trouble and had to stop for like a year and a half, but i continued to play, like at my gym, except i was almost always by my self. now i started again...but i dont play as well,its liek i got worse as i grew older... when i started back up i averaged like 6 ppg. and noe i average 0 PPG!!!!!! its pissing me off because whenever i go to the gym and people are there i pwn them... and i games nope! im not nervouse or anything its like i panic or something, and my specialty is dribbling and shooting. i also never really had anyone to teach me any skills or anything, i taught myself by doing it and watching the Phoenix suns (NASH!!!!) now im questioning if im able to continue to prosue my career as being able to go to the NBA. Need advice or something or i just might quit, which will break my heart, im now in highschool 2nd year.

PHX gets Jason Thompson and Rudy Fernandez. (loses Jrich and Earl Clark)
SAC gets JRich, Earl Clark and D. Cunningham. (loses Jason Thompson and Omri Casspi)

Phoenix needs a PF that can rebound and defend so that Hedo can move down to SF, hence Jason Thompson. Because they let go of JRich, they need a SG to come in, hence Rudy Fernandez. Rudy will be good coming off the bench being able to knock down shots and run in PHX's offense, while Jason Thompson will fill in the 4 spot which the team desperately needs.

Sacramento can afford to lose Jason Thompson because of their stacked frontline of Whiteside/Cousins/Dalembert/Greene, so they give him up for a great scorer that will be a better spot-up than Omri Casspi in JRich. Casspi didn't seem to fit well in their offense as he's not a great off-ball player; JRich however will complement Tyreke better. Since Casspi is a young prospect, they get Earl Clark and D. Cunningham who both have a bit of potential to cushion Casspi's departure. The 14 million expiring contract of JRich will also give them a ton of cap space at the end of the season together with Dalembert's 13 million expiring contract.

Portland has been wanting to part with Rudy, and even moreso now that they signed a good SG in Wesley Matthews to backup Brandon Roy. I don't see Rudy getting much playing time in this offense, so they will want to trade him away for something in return. Casspi is a 22 yr old with a lot of potential (not to say that he already is quite a solid player) that will fit immediately into the 3 spot for their lineup. Cunningham plays a similar position to Casspi so they wont really feel his loss.

As good a player as JRich is, the Suns aren't going anywhere without a real power forward that can guard other teams' 4 spot. Turk plays SF way better, Channing is more comfortable playing Center. Rebounding is also a problem for the Suns as none of their players pull down a good amount of boards. Jason Thompson is young, athletic, tall and grabs a good amount of boards. Also, losing JRich means more minutes for Childress who really does merit a lot of minutes. Rudy wont make them feel his loss as much too.

Orlando- He's the best player in the Magic's franchisee history and they were a a mere expansion team before they drafted Shaq and he completely turned them around and changed the whole feel of Orlando, Florida as soon as he was drafted in 1992. Before Shaq they had never even made the playoffs but with Shaq they made it to the NBA Finals and the Eastern Conference Finals.

Los Angeles- He brought the Lakers 3 championships and won 3 Finals MVPs. I know he left LA on bad terms and burned his bridges but you can't take away from what he did on the court. The Lakers were irrelevant in 90's after being the team of the 80's but Shaq came to the Lakers at 24 years old and turned the franchises around in 1997. Shaq is forever in Lakers history. The most dominant players ever during his time in LA. 3 titles, 4 Finals appearances, 5 conference finals, made the playoffs every year and won 50+ games every season (except for the lock out shortened year) in 8 years.

Miami- Was only their for 3 seasons. He also left Miami on bad terms but their franchisee dosen't have a long history and have only retired Tim Hardaway and Alonzo Mourning's jerseys. He changed the franchise. They had no real shot at a championship before Shaq got there and that changed overnight before Shaq even played a game.He won a title with them and changed the whole feel of the team as soon as he got there.
Let's get real here...whether you like Shaq, or not, the FACTS are the FACTS. This is not up for a vote. Shaq was the most dominant player in the NBA, by a mile, from 1998-2005. And knowledgeable fans, whether a Laker fan, or just a basketball fan, would acknowledge that he was the main reason that LA won three-in-a-row from 00-02. Furthermore, he did his share in '04, as well. Had some other players stepped up in the Finals that year, and the Lakers might have added another one.

Last season, the Suns were predicted not to make the playoffs. They were supposed to over achieve just to make the 7th or 8th spot. Nash was "old" Hill was "old" Amare "sucks" J-rich "does no fit". Yet the Suns made the 3rd seed and the western finals.

Now, the Suns are AGAIN being predicted of not making the playoffs and they'd have to over achieve to make the 7th or 8th seed again. This is mainly due to the departure of Amar'e Stoudemire, the 2nd best PF in the game.

I beg to disagree, I think the SUNS will make the 2nd seed. Yes, the 2nd behind the Lakers. Why? The BEST and DEEPEST BENCH in the NBA got deeper with Hakeem Warrick and Josh Childress. Hedo Turkoglu? Nash will make him look like an all star player again.
